"You’ve always felt a little off-kilter, and now you have part of a source..."
Written by A Dear Black Woman
Dear ____,
It’s okay that you have slight Asperger’s syndrome. Friends and some special will not only accept you, but like your random quotes and memories of kids shows, your spontaneous observations about the world for research topics, and why you still watch Winx club transformations because you think the animations are cool. You’ve always felt a little off-kilter, and now you have part of a source, and that’s better than not knowing. You’re a little weird, not crazy.
It’s okay that you suffer from depression. The pieces are never the same, but you can still be a beautiful mosaic.
It’s okay to not be good at your job: not everyone is good at everything, and you are trying your best. Obviously, you're a good interviewer ;)
It’s okay that you don’t like social media: you compare yourself, you don’t take selfies. You miss phone calls.
Keep sending Christmas cards. That’s cool.
And it’s okay if you want to be anonymous. You have to protect yourself and hopefully one day, you can be strong enough to tell your story and have that connection that you crave.
Peace and Love,
You
