An Affirmation Letter from Us to You #2
Our last party in Detroit was LIT!
Like our party before that, it inspired an affirmation letter from Dear Black Women to you! Yup, you. Featuring some of our favorite moments captured by photographer Cydni Elledge, we write you our wishes for you, ourselves and every Black woman everywhere. Check out more of Cydni's phenomenal work here: Cydni Elledge Photography,
Look out for future, dope Dear Black Women events. Make sure to join the movement below if you haven't already!
Dear You,
May you know safe spaces where you are...
Welcomed to be who you are. Where the best of you is reflected and celebrated.
Where you are encouraged to grow. Where you are seen, heard and affirmed.
May you always find ways to get loose...
And release the stresses of life, because life ain't always easy and sometimes we all need space to be able to let go.
May your heart be open to connections...
That fortify and expand you, that anchor and encourage you.
May you live in your zone.
That space where you feel most empowered, most aligned, most purposeful and most free.
May you have the courage and strength to reach for life over and over again.
And speak life to your dreams, your needs, your love, your healing.
May love find you, hold you and never let you go.
May you know that you are loved. May you cultivate and share that love.
May you receive support and offer support.
Trusting that despite the politics of scarcity that abounds that there is an abundance of goodness for us all.
Love,
The Dear Black Women Movement
