"You have to get used to not being in people's good grace's when you say NO."

Written by A Dear Black Woman

You have to get used to not being in people’s good grace’s when you say NO. This will be hard for you to stomach, but stand strong.

You've helped to the point that you're drained. You done enough for others and now it's time to do for yourself.

NO a beautiful word... get used to saying it. Use it like a weapon to protect yourself, your time, your energy, and your mental health. It will be difficult, but eventually you'll get comfortable wielding that word like a sword; cutting away the bullshit and the drama.

You have to get used to not being in people's good grace's when you say NO. This will be hard for you to stomach, but stand strong. You have to undo what you have allowed and given other permission to do.
