"Prayers today for the heads of households particularly the women who are doing it solo."

Dear Black Women,
It took me to being grown grown to realize that prioritizing my needs first are not selfish. In fact, it’s self care. Taking care of a family as a single parent is taxing. Knowing you can’t be everywhere for everyone can weigh heavy especially on those days where the kids both have stuff the same day.
Even with the mounting bills of a new business, I know to drink that cup of coffee, get that manicure, take that walk, book that weekend away, schedule that hair appointment, because although those bills come heavy, they leave too. God gets them paid and if I feel good about myself even when pressure mounts, I can maintain my household with a clear head.
Prayers today for the heads of households, particularly the women who are doing it solo.
