PRESS PLAY: "You Have Everything..."

These words by Tenola Plaxico have spoken to our spirits SO. MUCH. that Dear Black Women's founder Florence Noel (Flo) HAD to do something to memorialize them. Listen to her read these words. They. Are. LIFE. Press play, read on, be encouraged and reminded that you have EVERYTHING because you have yourself:

When I hear Black women say:

"I just don't want to be 30 and have nothing to show for it. No husband. No children. Nothing."

But what about you? What about having "you?"

You survived all of the predators, and heartaches, and bullets, and make-america-great-agains, and the the cops who were just 'doing their job', and the niggas who were just 'doing their thing'.

You survived the racist college professors, and the pretend-care white racist bosses, and the down-to-my-last $20 weekends. The health scares. The suicidal thoughts. The lingering notion that you were not enough.

You survived through all of that.

And still... have the audacity to say that you have nothing.

You have EVERYTHING, because you have yourself.

And that is something to celebrate.
